Here is what the Doughnut is made of, and what each part does for you.

An accessible entry point

The Doughnut is the simplest way into the range. It gives you dependable ear-pressure relief without unnecessary complexity or cost, so it is an easy first step if you are new to sleeping with a hole.

Adjustable firmness

A premium YKK® zip lets you add or remove filling to set the firmness and height you like. That level of adjustability is unusual in an entry-level pillow, and it means one pillow suits a wide range of sleepers.

Your choice of filling

The standard filling is our odourless, hypoallergenic coil fibre, spun in Yorkshire on machinery dating back to 1952. It stays cooler than memory foam and holds its shape. If you prefer natural materials, British wool is a great alternative that regulates temperature well for warmer sleepers. You can also remove our filling and use your own.

Fabric, size and care

The Doughnut is made from OEKO-TEX® certified cotton-blend fabric, so it is safe and breathable against sensitive ears. It measures a compact 28 × 28 × 6 cm and sits on top of your usual pillow. It comes as a standalone pillow with no pillowcase, and it is machine washable.

It’s expensive to make things this well. Well sourced materials with nothing hidden in them, made by people paid a proper wage, sewn from scratch here in Liverpool. Look at what else is out there: the rest of the market is made overseas, down to a price. We went the other way and chose quality over price. That’s why nobody else makes them like this.

Doughnut PWAH questions, answered

No. The Doughnut PWAH® is a standalone pillow, supplied without a pillowcase. Like all our pillows, it can be machine washed.

The firmness is fully adjustable. Add or remove filling through the integrated YKK® zip. We fill them to a medium firmness, since it is easier to take a little out than to wish you had more. If you need extra filling, just contact us and we will send some along. For guidance, see our Care Instructions.

We offer two fillings, hypoallergenic coil fibre and British wool. This short video explains the difference between them: watch the filling guide.

Yes. Our pillows can be machine washed on a low heat.
